Telangana Brahmin Samkshema Parishad (TBSP), a registered society under the Telangana Societies Registration Act, 2001, is keenly interested in the social, educational and economic development and welfare of Brahmin Community in the Telangana State.
Every year thousands of students from Brahmin community of Telangana State excel in academics at different levels and at different stages of education ladder. However, due to financial limitations these students do not get the opportunity to join the best of the higher educational institutions. Also, they do not get the due recognition for their excellence in academics.
Telangana Brahmin Samkshema Parishad after careful examination of the matter hereby proposes to further encourage such meritorious Brahmin community students belonging to any of the 31 districts in Telangana with adequate amount of a cash reward under Saraswati Vidya Prashasti Scheme.
Guidelines for the scheme
Financial Assistance under this Scheme will be granted for meritorious Brahmin community students belonging to any of the 31 districts in Telangana subject to the following guidelines:
- The candidates from a Govt/ Govt-recognised Private High School/ Junior College/ Polytechnic and equivalent institutions/ Degree College/ University and other such educational institutions and should have passed SSC/ Intermediate/ Degree in Engineering/ Pharmacy/ Management/ Pure Sciences/ Agriculture Sciences/ Medicine and Nursing/ Social Sciences/ Humanities and Post Graduation in Engineering/ Pharmacy/ Management/ Pure Sciences/ Agriculture Sciences/ Medicine/ Social Sciences/ Humanities
- The candidate would be awarded a cash reward for pursuing immediate further studies.
- The candidate should have cleared all the subjects at one go in all the years without any backlogs.
- Candidate should be a regular student of the course for the relevant academic year
Financial Assistance
The quantum of cash reward given to meritorious Brahmin community students under Saraswati Vidya Prashasti Scheme would be as follows for current academic year:

Mandatory Requirements
- He/she should be from a Govt/ Govt-recognised private School/ College/ Institution with 90 and above percentage at SSC or equivalent and Intermediate/ Polytechnic or equivalent. For Degree courses like BA, B.Com, B.Sc., the percentage shall be 70 and above. For Professional Courses i.e Medicine, B.E, B.Tech, B. Pharm BAMS, BHMS etc. the percentage shall be 80 and above. For Post Graduate Courses like M.A, M.Sc, M. Com, MCA, MBA etc., the percentage a student shall obtain is 70 and above.
- The objective of the scheme is to see that the student is to pursue higher studies. With this view, the applications are to be filed within one month of the date of admission in the next higher institution.
- The applications should be complete in all respects and should be accompanied by all relevant documents. The applications, incomplete in any respect, are liable to be rejected.
Procedure for Selection
(i) Eligible candidates shall fill their applications online (www.brahminparishad.telangana.gov.in) in the prescribed format
The student shall submit the following documents
- Residential/ Nativity Certificate
- Caste Certificate from Mee Seva
- Aadhaar Card
- Mark sheet from SSC/Inter/Graduate/PG Level
- Copy of Bank Pass Book of Nationalised Bank
- Photo to be scanned and uploaded
Selection
- The selection shall be conducted by the Executive Committee at the State level.
- The Chairman is authorised to make exceptions in the eligibility/ selection process depending upon the merit of the case and his decision will be final.
